And so the story goes… (fictionally speaking of course).
Karl Oskar and Kristina Nilsson left their European homelands in the late 1800’s to seek a better life for themselves and their families. They came to America and settled in the Lindstrom area looking for good land, jobs, and religious freedom. They worked hard to make their dreams come true and along the way they faced many joys and challenges. Who wouldn’t want to celebrate the strength and challenges that Karl and Kristina must have faced many years ago?
This years celebration kicks on on Wednesday July 7th and goes until Sunday July 11th. Many activities are planned including a Steak fry, free concert, Queen Coronation, the Queens tug of war challenge, kiddie parade, family bingo, fireworks (note the day change this year), 5K loppet, classic car show, arts and crafts, Karl Oskar Grande Day Parade. pancake breakfast and open trap shoot. Truly something for everyone and a good time for all. Come see what makes Lindstrom special!
